CM Majhi praises Modi's 11-year tenure, cites transformative impact

Bhubaneswar, June 10: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 11 years in office, asserting that the BJP-led central government has spearheaded massive transformations across various sectors nationwide.
Addressing a press conference in Bhubaneswar, Majhi highlighted the convergence of milestones: while the new BJP government in Odisha approaches its first year, the Narendra Modi-led central government also marks 11 years in power. He noted that since Modi first took oath as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014, governance under his leadership has achieved significant milestones. This year further signifies the first anniversary of the Modi government's third term, which Majhi described as "a moment of reflection and renewed commitment."
The Chief Minister underscored several path-breaking decisions from the past 11 years that have brought about revolutionary changes. Among these, he cited the abrogation of Article 370, calling it a "defining moment in national integration" that firmly established Jammu and Kashmir as an inseparable part of India.
Other significant reforms highlighted by Majhi included the abolition of Triple Talaq, which he stated ensured justice and dignity for Muslim women. He also mentioned the introduction of 'One Nation, One Tax' through the Goods and Services Tax (GST), streamlining the economy, and the launch of the National Education Policy (NEP), aimed at modernizing and democratizing education across the country.
