PM Modi to visit Odisha on June 20 for BJP Govt's first anniversary celebration

Bhubaneswar, June 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha on June 20 to attend a grand event marking the first anniversary of the BJP-led government in the state, headed by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The announcement was made by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari on Saturday.
The visit, which was initially slated for June 12, has been rescheduled due to the Prime Minister’s prior engagements. Minister Pujari confirmed the new date while addressing mediapersons and emphasized the importance of the Prime Minister’s presence in celebrating the government’s year-long achievements and reinforcing the Centre-State coordination.
“The request for the Prime Minister’s presence on June 12 had to be revised due to his busy schedule. He will now visit Odisha on June 20. Accordingly, the anniversary celebrations have also been rescheduled,” Pujari stated.
The final schedule of events between June 12 and June 20 is expected to be released by this evening. While the main programme on June 20 is confirmed, the exact venue is still under consideration. PM Modi’s visit is expected to garner significant political and public attention across the state.
