Odisha reports 3 new COVID-19 cases, state total rises to 18
Bhubaneswar, June 4: Odisha has reported three new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, raising the state's total active cases to 18, according to the latest data released by the Union Health Department.
The update comes as part of the national COVID-19 Dashboard maintained by the Union Government, which recorded a total of 276 new cases across the country during the same period. With this rise, the total number of active COVID-19 cases in India has reached 4,302.
Yesterday, Odisha had 15 active cases, and with today’s three fresh cases, the state’s count now stands at 18. While officials have not yet disclosed the districts from where the new infections emerged, monitoring and contact tracing efforts are reportedly underway.
The Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department has advised people not to panic, assuring that the situation remains under control. Authorities have urged citizens to continue following basic preventive measures such as wearing masks in crowded places, maintaining hand hygiene, and avoiding unnecessary travel, especially for vulnerable groups.
