Bhubaneswar, May 31: In a heartbreaking incident, a young couple from Jogimath village in Odisha’s Keonjhar district allegedly died by suicide, leaving behind their five-month-old daughter. The bodies of the deceased, identified as Raibu Munda and Gauri Munda, were discovered hanging from a tree near a forested area on Saturday morning.

According to local reports, a domestic dispute is believed to have driven the couple to take this extreme step. On Friday night, the couple reportedly had a heated argument, during which both of them smashed their mobile phones in a fit of anger. The following morning, villagers stumbled upon their lifeless bodies and immediately informed the authorities.

The tragic event has sent shockwaves through the local community, particularly because it has left their infant daughter orphaned. The baby is now under the care of relatives, while villagers mourn the loss of the young couple.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances and possible triggers behind the incident. The authorities are also speaking to family members and neighbors to gain further insight into the couple’s relationship.
