PM Modi likely to visit Odisha in June to mark BJP government's first anniversary

Bhubaneswar, May 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Odisha next month to commemorate the first anniversary of the BJP-led government in the state. The visit is likely to coincide with a series of celebratory events planned by the state government.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended the invitation to the Prime Minister during a recent meeting of NDA Chief Ministers held in New Delhi, according to Excise and Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan. The anniversary celebrations are scheduled to take place from June 4 to June 14 across various parts of Odisha.
In addition to the anniversary event, the Prime Minister has also been invited to attend the grand Rath Yatra in Puri, which will be celebrated on June 27. Deputy Chief Minister Parvati Parida confirmed that invitations have also been extended to Chief Ministers of all NDA-ruled states and Union Ministers.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari mentioned that CM Majhi has been in regular contact with the Prime Minister’s Office to finalize the visit. He noted that the BJP government has fulfilled most of its promises and aims to showcase its achievements during the celebrations.
