Heatwave alert in Odisha till May 13: IMD issues daily forecasts

Bhubaneswar, May 7: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heatwave conditions in several districts of Odisha till May 13. The state will also experience hot and humid weather across many coastal and interior regions.
May 8 Forecast:
Hot and humid conditions are expected at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, and Jajpur.
May 9 Forecast:
Heatwave conditions are likely in Jharsuguda and Sambalpur. Hot and humid conditions may persist in coastal and adjoining districts including Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, and Jajpur.
May 10 Forecast:
Heatwave conditions are expected in Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir, and Sambalpur. Hot and humid conditions will continue in the same coastal belt.
May 11 Forecast:
A yellow warning has been issued for heatwave conditions in Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir, Sundargarh, and Sambalpur. Hot and humid weather will affect the coastal districts mentioned earlier.
May 12 Forecast:
Heatwave likely in Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, and Sonepur. Hot and humid conditions are predicted in coastal Odisha.
May 13 Forecast:
Similar conditions will continue, with heatwave warnings for Jharsuguda, Boudh, Balangir, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, and Sonepur, alongside hot and humid weather in coastal areas.
