Bhubaneswar, April 29: A 22-year-old youth, identified as Rahul Gochhayat, was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Monday evening in the Dalit Sahi area of Baramunda in Bhubaneswar, sending shockwaves through the local community.

The exact cause of Rahul’s death remains unclear, but his family suspects that emotional distress linked to a romantic relationship may have played a significant role. According to his relatives, Rahul had been under immense psychological pressure due to complications in his personal life. They allege that a girl involved in the affair may have emotionally troubled him, leaving him in a state of deep despair.

“He was bright, loving, and always looked out for us. But lately, we saw him struggling. He was not himself. Just before the incident, he had asked me for money to buy food,” said Rahul’s sister, holding back tears. “We demand justice. He didn’t deserve this.”

Local police have registered a case of unnatural death and launched a preliminary investigation. Authorities are currently awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death.
