Five family members arrested for murder of six-year-old boy in Jajpur

Bhubaneswar, April 26: In a shocking incident, Dharamsala police have arrested five members of a family for their involvement in the murder of a six-year-old boy, whose body was recovered from an abandoned stone quarry near Char Gotha village under Jenapur police station limits in Jajpur district two days ago.
Following a detailed investigation, police confirmed that the boy’s father, Bauri Rout, orchestrated the murder with the help of his family members. The arrested include Bauri, his parents, his brother, and his sister-in-law. All five accused were produced before the court after their arrest.
Preliminary reports suggest that Bauri was dissatisfied with his wife's mental health condition and had been planning to remarry. Allegedly, he saw the presence of his wife and child as obstacles to his plans for a second marriage.
Villagers grew suspicious and alerted the police, leading to Bauri’s arrest. They alleged that Bauri had plotted and executed the crime in cold blood, highlighting the tragic betrayal within the family that ultimately led to the young boy’s death.
