Odisha CM Mohan Majhi leads statewide grievance redressal drive in Sambalpur

Bhubaneswar, April 21: In a remarkable demonstration of people-centric governance, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday turned the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation office into a vibrant center for public grievance redressal. Accompanied by ten Cabinet Ministers and a team of senior bureaucrats, the Chief Minister listened to public concerns directly, setting an example of accessible leadership.
This marked the 10th session of the Chief Minister’s grievance redressal initiative, and the first to be held outside Bhubaneswar. Citizens began arriving as early as 8 a.m., eager to present their issues to the state’s top leadership. The move underscored the administration’s commitment to reaching people at the grassroots level.
Among the ministers present were Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, and Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling. Senior officers, including Additional Chief Secretaries Satyabrata Sahu, Surendra Kumar, and Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, were also in attendance to ensure smooth proceedings.
The previous evening, the CM and his Cabinet visited the revered Maa Samaleswari temple, offering prayers for Odisha’s welfare.
Majhi emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s encouragement had inspired this outreach, aiming to bridge the gap between government and citizens. “Our focus is inclusive development and ensuring the voices of the poor are heard,” he stated.
