Bhubaneswar, April 14: The Odisha government has announced the commencement of the admission process for various postgraduate programmes and two-year B.Ed, M.Ed, and B.Hd courses for the academic year 2025-26. In a significant move, the Higher Education Department has also approved the early initiation of undergraduate (UG) admissions to streamline academic schedules and benefit students.

According to an official release from the Higher Education Department, the Common Application Form (CAF) filling process for all eligible applicants will begin on April 16, 2025. The decision aligns with the state government’s commitment to ensuring timely academic sessions, examinations, and declaration of results.

For undergraduate admissions, the process will follow the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Under this policy, students will have flexible course selection options such as Single Major with Two Minors, Double Majors, or Three Minors. These choices will be made available through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal.

The UG academic session for 2025-26 is scheduled to begin by July 10, 2025. This timely rollout is expected to enhance academic consistency and reduce delays in the academic calendar.
