Thunderstorm alert: IMD issues yellow warning for 17 Odisha districts on April 10

Bhubaneswar, April 9: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface winds (30-40 kmph) in as many as 17 districts of Odisha tomorrow, April 10. A yellow warning has been issued for these districts.
According to the IMD, the affected districts are Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri. The weather activity is expected during the afternoon and evening hours.
April 11 Forecast
On April 11, yellow warnings continue for Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
Additionally, gusty winds with thunderstorms are also expected in Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Nabarangapur, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal districts.
April 12 Forecast
Districts likely to experience similar weather on April 12 include Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Rayagada, Malkangiri, and Koraput.
April 13 Forecast
For April 13, the IMD has issued yellow warnings for Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts.
