Bhubaneswar, April 2: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his wife with an axe following a minor dispute at Antarla village under Deogaon police station limits in Balangir district late Tuesday night.

According to reports, the couple had a heated argument after dinner. While the wife was asleep, the enraged husband attacked her with an axe, inflicting fatal injuries. The gruesome act has left the local community in shock.

Upon receiving information, the police rushed to the spot, arrested the accused, and took him into custody. The deceased woman’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigations are underway.
