Bhubaneswar, April 2: In a horrific incident, a youth was allegedly beaten to death by his own family members over a minor dispute at Tiarpari village under Brahmagiri police station limits in Puri district. The shocking crime took place on Tuesday night, leaving the local community in distress.

The deceased has been identified as Nakula Samal, a resident of the same village. According to reports, a heated argument escalated into violence when some family members attacked Nakula with sticks and sharp weapons. In a brutal act, the attackers allegedly tied him to a coconut tree before lynching him. His body was later dumped near his house.

Upon being informed, Brahmagiri police reached the crime scene, seized the body, and launched an investigation. The victim’s mother, Bisika Samal, has filed a complaint, accusing family members of murdering her son and demanding strict action against them.

Investigating officers suspect a premeditated murder as the victim’s body bore multiple injury marks. Further inquiry is underway to uncover the exact motive behind the crime.
