Bhubaneswar, March 11: Former MP and senior BJD leader Pradeep Majhi is set to marry Sushree Sangita Sahu from Palasuni, Bhubaneswar, in a private ceremony in Goa on March 12. The 48-year-old politician, who had earlier planned to remain unmarried, said that he later realized the importance of marital life and decided to take this step.

Speaking about his fiancée, Majhi revealed that Sushree Sangita is a journalist who has worked with several media houses in Odisha and currently runs her own startup. The couple’s wedding in Goa will be an intimate affair with only 50-60 close family members and friends in attendance.

After the ceremony, Majhi is expected to host a grand reception either in Bhubaneswar or his home district, Nabarangpur. His decision to opt for a low-key wedding but a large reception reflects his intent to balance personal and public life. The news has generated excitement among his supporters, and well-wishers are eagerly waiting for official announcements regarding the post-wedding celebrations.
