72 Students Have Committed Suicide in 5 years
Bhubaneswar: In the last 5 years, 72 students have committed suicide in schools and colleges. It has been reported that 72 students have committed suicide in government and private schools and colleges.
The Chief Minister said this while replying to a question by Congress MLA Sophia Firdous in the Assembly today. Many educational institutions have expressed their opinion that students have committed suicide due to mental stress, mental imbalance, refusal to use phones in school hostels, academic pressure, misunderstandings with friends, and problems arising from love affairs.
