January was a month of crime: Chief Minister
Bhubaneswar: The current January 2025 was a month of crime in the state. In January, 111 murders were reported, while 20 robberies and 1509 theft cases were reported. There were 101 riots, 194 cyber crimes, 655 cases of misconduct. Similarly, 79 cases of sexual harassment and 149 cases of public indecency against women were reported.
On the other hand, in 2024, there were 1258 murders, 356 robberies and 17805 theft cases. There were 1471 riots, 2501 cyber crimes, 7299 cases of misconduct. It has been reported that there were 1082 cases of sexual harassment and 1839 cases of public indecency. 111 obscene video recording and 365 harassment cases were registered. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi gave the answer to the question of Ramesh Behera in the Odisha Assembly today.
