Tragic end for Assistant Collector in Odisha : Family suspects foul play

Rourkela, Sep 21: The family of Susmita Minj, an assistant collector, who was found dead under perplexing circumstances in Rourkela of Sundargarh district, has raised suspicions of foul play.
Minj's body was discovered under mysterious circumstances at Centurion Park in Rourkela on Tuesday evening.
According to the allegations made by the deceased's mother, Susmita had been experiencing considerable work-related stress in recent days. She had been facing substantial pressure from senior authorities, including the Collector, regarding her office responsibilities.
"Last Saturday, Susmita reported for duty but never returned home. We lodged a missing persons report at the police station on Sunday. It wasn't until Tuesday evening that her body was discovered in a park. We strongly suspect that she endured severe mental distress in her workplace, which might have contributed to her death ," alleged Susmita's grieving mother, Selevstin Minj.
"We understand that we can never bring our daughter back, but we are determined to seek justice," she added.
Neither the Rourkela Assistant Collector's office nor the local police have provided any comments or responses to these allegations.
