Bhubaneswar, Feb 27: A 45-year-old X-ray technician was found dead inside the X-ray room of Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday evening, triggering shock and concern among hospital staff and visitors.

The deceased has been identified as Prabhat Mohanty, a long-time employee of the hospital. According to sources, his body was discovered hanging from the ceiling around 7 PM by colleagues who immediately alerted the hospital authorities. Despite swift efforts to save him, Mohanty was rushed to the casualty ward, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

While the exact cause behind the technician’s death remains uncertain, police have registered a case of unnatural death and have launched an investigation. Forensic experts have also examined the scene, and preliminary findings suggest no signs of foul play. However, police are exploring all possible angles, including stress or personal reasons that might have led to the incident.

The sudden demise of Mohanty has left his colleagues in deep grief. Authorities are expected to conduct a post-mortem to determine the precise cause of death. Further investigation is underway.
