Bhubaneswar, Feb 24: In a shocking incident, a woman and her mother-in-law died under mysterious circumstances in Indranagarpada of Balangir district on Sunday evening.

According to reports, Anandini Sahu was found hanging from the ceiling, while her mother-in-law, Jambubati Sahu, allegedly suffered a heart attack after seeing Anandini’s body. The tragedy unfolded when Anandini’s husband, Gaurahari Sahu, was not at home.

Gaurahari reportedly informed Anandini’s father, Ramesh Sahu, about the incident over the phone at around 4 PM. However, Anandini’s father has accused Gaurahari and his brother of murder, claiming that his daughter was taken to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital before her family members were even informed.

The bereaved father further alleged that Gaurahari and his brother left for a wedding immediately after the crime to avoid suspicion. Meanwhile, the police have launched an investigation into the deaths. The exact cause of Anandini’s death is yet to be confirmed, and her body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Authorities are also verifying claims of foul play made by the deceased’s family.
