Bhubaneswar, Feb 22: The Odisha government will take appropriate action after the high-level committee completes its investigation into the KIIT University incident, Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj stated on Saturday.
Speaking to the media, the minister confirmed that the committee has recorded statements from all those summoned in connection with the case. Decisions on further action will be based on the investigation’s findings.
So far, ten people have been arrested, including bouncers, trainers, and security guards. The police investigation remains ongoing, with CCTV footage sent to a forensic lab for analysis. A copy of the footage will also be shared with the government for further review.
The minister further revealed that all individuals involved in the case have been suspended, and the police are investigating a viral audio clip linked to the incident.
