IMD forecasts dense fog in several Odisha districts for two days

Bhubaneswar, Feb 7: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dense fog in several districts of Odisha over the next two days, issuing a yellow warning for Nayagarh, Puri, Ganjam, and Gajapati on Saturday.
According to the forecast, dense fog is expected at one or two places in these districts on Sunday as well. Additionally, shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur at a few places in Nayagarh, Puri, Ganjam, and Gajapati, and at one or two locations in Rayagada and Koraput on Saturday.
For Sunday, the IMD predicts similar foggy conditions during early morning hours in these districts. Visibility may be significantly reduced, affecting transportation and daily activities.
Despite the foggy conditions, the IMD has confirmed that dry weather will persist across Odisha till February 17. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions while traveling in fog-affected areas, as reduced visibility may pose safety concerns.
