Bhubaneswar, Feb 6: A 58-year-old patient tragically lost his life after falling from the top floor of the Sub-Divisional Hospital in Anandapur, Keonjhar district, on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Bijay Sahoo, a resident of Kantipal village.

According to sources, Bijay had visited the hospital with his wife, Santilata Sahoo, for dialysis treatment. While waiting for his turn, he went to use the restroom but mistakenly reached the top floor instead. It is suspected that he felt dizzy or weak, leading to his fatal fall.

Hospital staff immediately rushed to his aid and provided medical assistance. However, despite their efforts, doctors later declared him dead.

Upon being informed, Ghasipur police arrived at the hospital and have launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities are looking into CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts to determine the exact circumstances that led to the fall. Meanwhile, Bijay’s family has been left in deep mourning over the sudden and tragic loss.
