IMD predicts dense fog in Odisha on January 29 and 30, yellow warning issued

Bhubaneswar, Jan 28: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dense fog in several districts of Odisha on January 29 and 30, prompting the issuance of yellow warnings for affected areas.
On January 29, dense fog is expected at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Khurda, and Ganjam districts. On January 30, the fog is likely to persist in Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur districts.
Commuters have been advised to exercise caution, especially during early morning hours, as dense fog can significantly reduce visibility and increase the risk of accidents.
Additionally, shallow to moderate fog may occur in parts of Gajapati, Puri, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, and Sundargarh districts during this period.
The IMD has also predicted dry weather conditions to prevail across the state until February 4. Travelers and residents are urged to plan their journeys accordingly and stay updated with local weather reports.
