Massive security arrangements in place for Make in Odisha Conclave

Bhubaneswar, Jan 27: Elaborate security arrangements have been put in place for the Utkarsh Odisha Conclave and the Make in Odisha Exhibition, which are set to begin tomorrow and will run until January 30. Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra has outlined a robust plan to ensure the safety and smooth execution of the event.
According to Mishra, 60 platoons of police force, along with over 400 police officers of various ranks, will be deployed. Additional police personnel will also be mobilized to maintain tight security during the event. Thousands of attendees, including VVIPs, dignitaries, and industrialists, are expected to gather at Janata Maidan, prompting the Commissionerate Police to implement comprehensive security measures for the three-day program.
Special security arrangements have been made for the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which will adhere to the guidelines detailed in the Blue Book. The DCP mentioned that stringent security measures have been established at the Bhubaneswar Airport, along the route, and at the event venue. To address potential disruptions, the Traffic Wing has made separate arrangements to manage traffic flow and minimize inconvenience to the public.
DCP Mishra assured that all necessary precautions have been taken to ensure the event proceeds without any hiccups. “With cooperation from all stakeholders, the three-day event will run smoothly. Given the large-scale attendance, some traffic issues may arise, as is common with major events. We urge everyone to cooperate to ensure minimal inconvenience,” he said.
