Former DGP Prakash Mishra appointed advisor to Chief Minister

Bhubaneswar, Jan 27: Retired IPS officer and former Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Prakash Mishra has been appointed as an advisor to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The announcement, made on Monday, grants Mishra the rank of a Cabinet Minister, highlighting the significant responsibilities he will undertake in his new role.
A notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department of the Odisha Government confirmed the appointment, stating, “Shri Prakash Mishra, IPS (Retd.), is appointed as Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister in the rank of Cabinet Minister.”
Prakash Mishra, known for his distinguished service and leadership during his tenure as DGP, brings a wealth of administrative and law enforcement experience to the advisory role. His appointment is expected to bolster the state government's decision-making processes, particularly in matters of governance, security, and public welfare.
