DNA tests ordered in Rasulgarh flyover murder case; five suspects apprehended
Bhubaneswar, Jan 15: The Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar have ordered DNA tests on blood stains found on the clothing of suspects linked to the murder of Sahadev Nayak, which occurred near the Rasulgarh flyover.
The blood samples have been sent to the State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) for analysis, according to the investigating team. This forensic evidence is expected to play a crucial role in establishing the involvement of the accused.
As part of the probe, police are analyzing footage from 55 CCTV cameras around the crime scene. A special squad has already detained five individuals suspected of being involved in the murder.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the murder stemmed from past enmity and possible connections to the brown sugar (heroin) trade.
The police have stated that the case remains under active investigation, and further arrests may follow. Authorities are determined to uncover the full extent of the crime and its underlying motives.
