Dense fog alert issued for four Odisha districts on January 4
Bhubaneswar, Jan 3: Dense fog is likely to envelop parts of Odisha on January 4, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The affected districts include Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, and Koraput.
The IMD has also issued a forecast for shallow to moderate fog over Angul, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Cuttack, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj on January 4 and January 5.
Commuters have been urged to exercise caution while traveling, as dense fog is expected to significantly reduce visibility, potentially disrupting transportation and other daily activities. The IMD advises taking necessary precautions to ensure safety during this period.
Looking ahead, the weather office predicts dry weather across all districts of Odisha from January 6 to January 10. While this dry spell is expected to bring relief from foggy conditions, it may also result in a gradual rise in temperatures. Residents are advised to plan their activities accordingly and remain updated on weather advisories.
