Sambalpur shocked by armed robbery at gold loan office, 30 kg gold stolen

Bhubaneswar, Jan 3: In a shocking incident on Friday, a group of armed robbers stormed the Manappuram Gold Loan office located on Budharaja Main Road in Sambalpur, Odisha. The assailants, reportedly numbering around ten and armed with firearms and sharp weapons, held employees and customers hostage at gunpoint during the brazen daytime heist.
The robbers made off with approximately 30 kg of gold jewelry, valued in the crores, leaving the local community in a state of panic and heightened concern regarding security at business establishments. Witnesses reported that some robbers stood guard outside the building while their accomplices carried out the theft inside.
Upon receiving reports of the robbery, senior police officials swiftly arrived at the scene to begin their investigation.
