Odisha leaders pay tributes to Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab on his death anniversary

Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, along with Cabinet colleagues, paid heartfelt tributes to Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab, the first Chief Minister of Odisha, on his death anniversary at the Assembly premises on Thursday.
Chief Minister Majhi honored the legacy of "Utkal Keshari" by laying a wreath at Dr. Mahatab’s statue in the Assembly building. Sharing his thoughts on X, Majhi stated, “On the death anniversary of Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab, the architect of modern Odisha, I paid tributes at his statue. His life and achievements form a significant chapter in Odisha’s social, political, and economic history. His unparalleled contributions spanned India’s freedom struggle and Odisha’s uplift.”
Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo also expressed his respects, writing on X, “I pay my solemn tribute to Dr. Mahatab, a visionary leader, historian, and statesman. His tireless efforts for statehood, cultural preservation, and governance inspire generations.”
