New Year 2025 calendars by SJTA showcase rich cultural heritage

Bhubaneswar, Dec 26: On Thursday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi unveiled the English New Year 2025 desk and wall calendars published by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA). The event marked a significant cultural moment, with the first copy of the calendar being presented to Lord Jagannath at the Srimandir temple in Puri, reflecting the deep reverence for the deity.
According to an official release, the desk calendar features captivating artwork by various talented Odia artists, including intricate sand art, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Odisha. Meanwhile, the seven-page wall calendar showcases stunning images of Lord Jagannath atop his majestic chariot, capturing the essence of the famous Rath Yatra festival.
These beautifully designed calendars will be available for purchase at the Srimandir Information Centres in both Puri and Bhubaneswar, allowing devotees and art enthusiasts to acquire a piece of this artistic endeavor. The launch event was attended by several dignitaries, including Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Ahuja, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, and SJTA’s Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Padhee, along with local district officials.
