Bhubaneswar, Dec 18: In a shocking incident, Krushnaprasad police on Wednesday arrested a man for allegedly attacking his son with a sharp weapon following a family dispute in Jagirikuda village under Krushnaprasad block, Puri district.

According to sources, a heated argument erupted between the father and son over a domestic matter, which quickly escalated into violence. The father, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, attacked his son with a sharp weapon, leaving him critically injured.

Neighbors rushed to the scene upon hearing the commotion and alerted the authorities. The injured son was immediately taken to Brahmagiri hospital for initial treatment. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later shifted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for advanced medical care.

Acting on a tip-off, Krushnaprasad police apprehended the accused father and registered a case. The police have confirmed that the accused will soon be presented in court as investigations continue.
