Bhubaneswar, Dec 11: The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) is set to launch curated city trails under the Odisha Walks initiative in Cuttack, Puri, and Sambalpur. The project is expected to commence in January 2025, aiming to enhance these cities as vibrant urban tourism destinations.

According to an official OTDC statement, Odisha Walks seeks to celebrate the rich history, natural resources, and urban amenities of these cities. The initiative will offer citizens, tourists, and visitors an immersive experience through curated trails, showcasing unique heritage and local stories. Thematic trails will be developed to reflect the distinct cultural and historical narratives of each city.

OTDC’s Managing Director has invited Expressions of Interest from eligible agencies for the design and execution of the trails. These will run every weekend during the tourism season until March 2025, with a deadline of December 16 for submissions. Agencies are encouraged to propose trail locations after consulting OTDC, which has suggested preliminary points of interest.
