Odisha MLAs to attend Navy Day celebrations in Puri tomorrow

Bhubaneswar, Dec 3: Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy announced on Tuesday that all state MLAs will participate in the Navy Day celebrations in Puri on December 4, where President Droupadi Murmu will be the chief guest.
In a statement to the Assembly, Padhy confirmed that lawmakers, accompanied by their spouses, will travel to Puri in special buses to witness the Navy's spectacular display of strength and skill. To accommodate their participation, the Assembly is likely to be adjourned for the day.
A senior official stated that a formal notification regarding the adjournment and travel arrangements would be issued soon.
The grand event, slated to begin at 3:45 PM on Puri’s Blue Flag Beach, promises a captivating showcase of naval prowess. Highlights include bomb burst manoeuvres, submarine sail pasts, anti-submarine and anti-aircraft firing, combat free-falls, and the traditional hornpipe dance. A fleet of 15 warships and 40 aircraft will feature in the celebrations, showcasing the Navy's might and precision.
