Four dead, three injured in two road accidents in Mayurbhanj

Bhubaneswar, Nov 30: Mayurbhanj district witnessed two tragic road accidents on Saturday, claiming four lives and leaving three others critically injured.
The first incident occurred near Badadalima Chhak under Tiring Police Station limits, where a speeding truck struck three pedestrians during their morning walk. One person died on the spot, while the other two sustained severe injuries.
The same truck, reportedly being driven recklessly, caused another accident five kilometers away near Bagbendra under Bahalda Police Station. The truck collided with an auto-rickshaw, killing the driver and a couple traveling in the vehicle on the spot. A relative of the couple sustained critical injuries.
Local police were alerted and promptly transported the injured to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention. The bodies were seized for post-mortem examinations. Authorities have launched an investigation into the accidents, focusing on the driver’s actions and potential mechanical failures of the truck.
