Third phase of Subhadra Yojana to cover 22% of excluded beneficiaries

Bhubaneswar, Nov 23: Approximately 22% of previously rejected beneficiaries under the Subhadra Yojana will receive financial assistance in the scheme's third phase, with funds set to be credited to their bank accounts on November 24, announced Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Saturday.
The state government has decided to re-verify rejected applications to ensure eligible beneficiaries are included in the program. Parida stated that of the 2.67 lakh initially rejected applicants, 22% will receive ₹5,000 each under the scheme starting tomorrow.
“Remaining beneficiaries who were excluded for other reasons will be added after thorough verification at the block level. Additionally, all Anganwadi workers will receive their first installment under the Subhadra Yojana in this phase. The government aims to reach 1 crore beneficiaries by December. The fourth phase of disbursements is scheduled for next month,” Parida explained.
Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Subhadra Yojana provides financial support to women beneficiaries. Over 60 lakh women have already benefited during the first two phases of the scheme.
