Odisha gears up for President Droupadi Murmu’s visit in December
Bhubaneswar, Nov 23: President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Odisha from December 3 to 7, with extensive preparations underway to ensure her visit runs smoothly.
An official press release stated that a state-level meeting was held on Friday morning at Lokseva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja. The meeting was attended by Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Home Department Additional Chief Secretary Satyabrat Sahu, Director General of Police Y.B. Khurania, DG Fire Services Sudhanshu Sarangi, Khordha Collector, and other senior officials from various departments. Collectors of Puri and Mayurbhanj, along with Naval Department officers, participated virtually.
President Murmu will arrive in Bhubaneswar on December 3 via Air Force flight and will unveil a newly installed statue of Pandit Raghunath Murmu at Niladri Vihar in the evening.
On December 4, she will visit the Sri Jagannath Temple in Puri for darshan, attend the 75th anniversary celebration of Gopabandhu Ayurveda College, and witness a naval strength demonstration by the Indian Navy at the Puri Blue Flag beach.
On December 5, the President will attend the 40th convocation of the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology in Bhubaneswar and later inaugurate the new judicial court complex.
On December 6, she will pay homage at the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at AG Chhak in Bhubaneswar on his death anniversary before traveling to Mayurbhanj via Kalaikunda Airport in West Bengal.
