Youth found dead on NH-18 in Mayurbhanj, police suspect murder
Bhubaneswar, Oct 14: Baishinga police recovered the injured body of a youth, identified as Vadu alias Gudu, near Khairbani Street on National Highway 18 in Mayurbhanj district on Monday.
Vadu, a resident of Khairbani, was last seen at the local market on Sunday night. He had parked his two-wheeler near a Puja Mandap, where it remained overnight. Police suspect that he left the bike there and accompanied someone else. At around 11:00 pm, Vadu called his mother, informing her that he would be home soon. However, the next morning, his mother received the shocking news that his body was found by the highway and taken to Baishinga Hospital.
Police noticed a deep head wound and heavy bleeding, raising suspicions of foul play. Investigations are underway to determine if it was a murder. Vadu was married less than four years ago and leaves behind a two-year-old son.
