30 injured in bus-truck collision in Odisha's Koraput

Bhubaneswar, Oct 2: At least 30 passengers were injured, several critically, after a bus collided with a timber-laden truck on National Highway No. 326 under Lakshmipur police limits in Odisha’s Koraput district on Wednesday morning.
The injured have been rushed to Lakshmipur Medical Center, while police, Fire Services personnel, and local residents are still conducting rescue operations. Several passengers, along with the bus driver, remain trapped in the crushed vehicle at the time of writing.
Reports indicate that the private bus, ‘MSSB,’ was traveling from Jaypore to Rayagada with around 60-70 passengers. As it neared Dumuripadar road, it collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction, resulting in numerous injuries.
Three ambulances have been deployed to transport the injured passengers to the medical center for urgent treatment.
