Odisha CM asks district collectors to focus on public outreach and project revival

Bhubaneswar, Sept 27: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi underscored the pivotal role of district collectors in implementing government schemes and connecting with the public during the two-day District Collectors' Conference in Bhubaneswar, which began today.

Majhi emphasized that district collectors, seen as the face of the government in all districts except Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, bear significant responsibility in meeting the expectations of the people.

“Collectors play a crucial role in executing government schemes and addressing everyday challenges at the district level. Their efforts are key to the successful implementation of initiatives aimed at eradicating poverty and improving the lives of the underprivileged,” said Majhi. He also stressed the importance of inter-departmental coordination to revive stalled projects and urged collectors to conduct field visits to monitor the progress of various schemes.

Reflecting on his 27-year political journey, Majhi shared his rise from sarpanch to MLA and now Chief Minister, expressing his unwavering commitment to public service.

“For 27 years, I’ve dedicated myself to serving the people, starting as a sarpanch and now as Chief Minister. I continue to listen to people’s grievances and work tirelessly to address their concerns. My commitment to making a difference through government service remains strong, and I will keep striving to ensure the voices of our citizens are heard,” Majhi affirmed.
