Car submerges in canal, driver found dead inside in Cuttack
Bhubaneswar, Sept 24: A tragic accident occurred near Bamphakuda village under the Cuttack Sadar police station limits in the early hours of Tuesday, claiming the life of a car driver. The deceased, identified as Kahna Jena, a resident of Bamphakuda village, was driving home late at night when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The car plunged into a nearby canal, resulting in his death.
Local residents discovered the submerged vehicle and immediately alerted fire brigade officials, who promptly arrived at the scene. The vehicle was retrieved from the water, with Kahna's lifeless body found inside.
Police have sent the body for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Investigations are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the accident, including whether mechanical failure or driver fatigue contributed to the tragedy.
