Student goes missing after jumping into Birupa river, search operations ongoing
Bhubaneswar, Sept 23: A Plus III student went missing after jumping into the Birupa river in Cuttack district on Monday. The student, identified as Pradip Kumar Das, reportedly left his bicycle and mobile phone on the bridge before taking the plunge into the river.
Locals who witnessed the incident quickly informed both his family and the fire department. Fire brigade personnel, along with the student’s family, rushed to the spot, and a search operation is currently underway to locate Pradip.
The motive behind this drastic step remains unclear. Some sources suggest that the student left home in anger prior to the incident, but the exact reason is still unknown.
