IMD forecasts heavy rain and thunderstorms across Odisha for four days

Bhubaneswar, Sept 23: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across several districts of Odisha over the next four days.
As per the IMD report, isolated areas in 16 districts, including Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Nabarangapur, are likely to witness thunderstorms with lightning and heavy rainfall (7-11 cm) on September 24.
On September 25, districts like Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangapur, Nuapada, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, and Jajpur are expected to experience similar weather conditions.
For September 26, heavy rainfall (7-11 cm) is likely in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangapur, Kalahandi, Bolangir, and Nuapada.
IMD’s forecast for September 27 includes heavy rainfall (7-11 cm) at isolated places in Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Bolangir. Residents are advised to remain cautious and take necessary precautions during this period.
