Bhubaneswar, Sept 21: On Saturday, Chandaka police recreated the crime scene in Sundarpur with seven detained youths in connection with the harassment of Army Major Guruvansh Singh and his fiancée Ankita under the Bharatpur police station area.

As part of the ongoing investigation, Major Singh's statement was recorded during the crime scene recreation at Bharatpur police station in Bhubaneswar. The Commissionerate Police had detained seven individuals on Friday, including students from two engineering colleges, and are still searching for 3-4 additional suspects involved in the incident.

Meanwhile, the cyber police are analyzing video footage and examining the call detail records (CDR) of both the victim and the accused. This follows after seven youths were detained for allegedly harassing the couple.

According to reports, on the night of September 14, the couple was chased and attacked by over 11 youths in three cars on Pathargadia Road. The police launched an investigation after a video of the incident went viral, using CCTV footage from DLF Building Road and surrounding areas to identify the accused. A case has been registered at Chandaka police station.
