Bay of Bengal depression weakens; Odisha to witness rainfall for a week
Bhubaneswar, Sept 18: The deep depression over the Bay of Bengal has weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area (LoPAR), now located over central parts of north Madhya Pradesh and moving southeastwards towards the east-central Bay of Bengal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported on Wednesday afternoon that several parts of Odisha will continue to experience light to moderate rainfall over the next week due to this LoPAR.
Weather Warning for Odisha Districts:
Day 1 (Until 19.09.2024, 08:30 IST): Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are expected in many places across north Odisha and a few places in south Odisha. A yellow warning has been issued for heavy rainfall in Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, and other districts.
Day 2 (19.09.2024 - 20.09.2024): South Odisha will see light to moderate rainfall.
Day 3 (20.09.2024 - 21.09.2024): Thunderstorms with lightning are expected in several districts.
Day 4 (21.09.2024 - 22.09.2024): Thunderstorms with lightning may continue in isolated places across Odisha.
