PM Modi unveils ₹3,800 crore infrastructure projects alongside Subhadra Yojana launch in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Sept 17: The Odisha government has successfully transferred Rs 1,250 crore to the bank accounts of over 25 lakh women beneficiaries under the Subhadra Yojana, a scheme aimed at empowering women. The scheme was officially launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a major event held at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
The Subhadra Yojana targets women aged 21-60, providing them with Rs 50,000 in five annual instalments of Rs 10,000. This financial support is intended to uplift women by offering economic assistance. So far, 76 lakh women have registered for the scheme, reflecting widespread interest and participation.
In addition to launching this women-centric initiative, PM Modi also unveiled significant infrastructure projects worth over Rs 3,800 crore. These projects include railway developments valued at Rs 2,871 crore and national highway projects worth Rs 1,000 crore, aimed at enhancing connectivity and boosting the state's economy.
The Subhadra Yojana marks a milestone in Odisha's development efforts.
