Bhubaneswar, Sept 10: On Monday night, a violent clash between two rival groups in the Malgodown area of Odisha’s Bolangir district resulted in one fatality and two critical injuries. The deceased, Neeraj Harpal, had recently been released on bail. The critically injured, including Mukesh Harpal, are receiving treatment at VIMSAR in Burla.

The clash erupted on the streets when members of both groups, armed with swords and other weapons, confronted each other. The confrontation escalated, leading to Harpal's death and severe injuries to the other two individuals.

The incident has caused significant alarm among local residents. The police have launched a thorough investigation, revealing that the clash stemmed from longstanding enmity between the groups.
