Bengal native and NLU lecturer found dead in rented Cuttack home

Bhubaneswar, Sept 9: The body of a female lecturer from the National Law University, Odisha (NLUO), was found in her rented accommodation in CDA Sector-9, Cuttack, on Monday. The deceased, identified as Ananya Chakraborty, was originally from West Bengal and had been working at NLUO for nearly two years.
Reports indicate that Ananya’s body was discovered inside her locked room. Police had to break the lock to gain entry and recover her body.
Ananya had not been attending the university, and when she failed to respond to repeated calls, NLUO officials alerted the police. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at her residence and forced the door open.
Her body has been sent to SCB Medical College in Cuttack for an autopsy, and her family has been informed of her passing.
The cause of her death remains unknown at this time, and it is unclear whether it was a case of homicide or suicide. The police are currently investigating the incident.
