Odisha government announces key appointments in SJTA

Bhubaneswar, Aug 28: In a significant administrative move, the Odisha government has announced two key appointments within the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) to enhance its operational efficiency.
According to the official notification, Debabrata Sahoo, an OAS officer currently serving as the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Ganjam, has been appointed as the Administrator (Development) of SJTA in Puri. Sahoo will oversee the development projects and strategic planning for the temple administration.
Simultaneously, Dipti Ranjan Sethi, also an OAS officer and the current Khordha Sub-Collector, has been designated as the Deputy Administrator (Revenue) of SJTA in Puri. Sethi will manage the revenue aspects and land properties associated with the temple in the Khurda district, alongside his current responsibilities.
These appointments follow recent actions by the SJTA, which issued show-cause notices to 19 leaseholders of temple-owned stone quarries in Khurda district for over-extraction. The leaseholders have been instructed to settle royalties, incidental charges, and penalties within a week.
