BJD expels Zilla Parishad member Sasmita Majhi over alleged fraudulent activities

Bhubaneswar, Aug 27: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president, Naveen Patnaik, has taken a decisive step by expelling Sasmita Majhi, a Zilla Parishad Member from Zone-3 of Mathili block in Malkangiri district, from the party.
Majhi's expulsion is attributed to her alleged involvement in activities deemed detrimental to the public's welfare. The party made this decision effective immediately, underscoring the seriousness of the matter.
According to a press release issued by the BJD, the expulsion follows allegations that Majhi had been exploiting local youths by falsely promising them jobs in various sectors.
