CHSE announces tentative dates for Plus II exams

Bhubaneswar, Aug 21: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has announced the tentative schedule for the annual Plus II board examinations, which are set to begin on February 15, 2025. This early notification aims to help students and educational institutions complete their syllabi on time.
According to the CHSE, practical examinations will be held from December 26, 2024, to January 15, 2025. However, the board may adjust these dates if necessary, with any changes communicated to students through their schools and colleges and updated on the board’s website. The advance notice is intended to aid students in managing their time, reducing stress, and planning their studies effectively.
Board Chairman Prashant Kumar Parida made the announcement. Additionally, the CHSE has revised the question paper pattern for the 2025 Plus II exams.
Students will now take an 80-mark theory exam instead of the previous 100-mark format. To pass, students must score at least 24 marks, which is 30% of the total. The remaining 20 marks will be assigned to internal assessments, but these internal marks will not contribute to the theory exam scores for determining pass or fail status.
